Hint of Sun...

It's moments like this, in this windy, cold, and cloudy city, when the skies part and the sun peaks through, that you stop and realize what a beautiful place Paris is. Even if it is covered in dog poop and smells of homeless people urine.

Christmas Time...

Kaskades remix of Bing Crosby's White Christmas.  This song especially hit a chord with me considering for the past two months I have been dreaming of a white Christmas out of Paris and in the mountains somewhere. Some place to just ski and unwind after one really hard semester of school. Kaskade is one of my favorite dj's out there and the reason why I started listening to electronic music (I think I will start sharing more music on here, since it plays such an important inspirational role in my life). Recently he started putting out Christmas songs that the remixed back in the early 2000's. They are such fun updates on the classic Christmas songs.

Avenue Champs Elysees (just like the Lindt chocolate box)

Rue du Commerce

Christmas lights are just starting to be lit all around christmas. Hanging above streets, dangling from trees, or covering entire building façades, they are everywhere. I'll post more as I see them.

Marché de Noël - La Défense...

Raclette, something I will definatly be needing to try.

The biggest pan of gratin I have ever seen.

Dried fruit, the clementines looked especially appealing.

Off Season...

Of course no trip to Versailles is complete anymore without a stop at my favorite baked potato stand.

Looking to the Grand Trianon

I actually walked all the way around the Grand Canal (5 miles). You can't even see Versailles from the end of it.

Still My Favorite...

After living in this beautiful city for for a few months now, I can still say with a great amount of confidence that La Defance is still my favorite part of town. Each time I visit I am awe struck by the magnificent juxtaposition between this area and Paris proper right across the river.

Tom's Back...

As far as first impressions go, I'm certainly intrigued. It all looks glamorous and sexy, but I wouldn't expect anything less from the man behind so many of fashions most provocative moments. Hopefully some place in Paris (my bet is on Colette or Bon Marché) picked up the collection so I can swing by this spring and look at them up close, because certainly no place in Minnesota would be carrying it!

Llama Llama...

Stella McCartney Kids, $30. Pretty sure I need one or both of these in my life, even if I don't fit in them, just to have that amazing Llama graphic!
